“Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” John 10:10
Good morning dear one,
Last week was difficult, again. Jim was in the hospital and because all of the covid pandemic precautions, I had to drop him off at the emergency room and leave. Gut wrenching! How my heart aches for others whose loved ones are sick with covid and having to endure being separated from them! Many victims are dying alone in the hospital with their family saying goodbye on the phone. Jim is home and will require more tests later this week. And my task is to watch carefully and monitor his progress and to trust my Savior and give him my oft worried heart. My soul is parched. I am sitting at the well at noontime waiting for my Savior to come and fill my cup.
Just like you, I am sure, all of us are searching for something to give our hearts meaning and purpose--to satisfy our soul. Friend, Jesus alone is the Living Water that fills our void. Jesus has the never-ending water that we are so thirsty for. When we put our faith and trust in Him, our well will never run dry. Yes, we will become discouraged at times. Yes, in this world we will have tribulations. But, as born-again Christians and for seekers as well, we can come to the well, lift our cup, and be filled. Jesus will never turn us away. He will never tire of us coming again and again to be filled. He is the unending source of peace and hope. Abundant life can only be found in Him. Trust Him as your source. Be filled to the brim and overflowing with joy and life anew.
I come, Lord. Fill my cup and make me whole.
Linda
