Romans 2:1 (Amplified Bible)
Hello Friend,
Recently, I have been wearing a bracelet that says New Mind. It was given to me several years ago and I put it in my jewelry box and forgot about it. “New Mind,” me? I thought to myself at the time. “I have a perfectly fine mind and don’t want or need a new one.” Then earlier this year, I taught a series of lessons on the scripture, “Be ye transformed by the renewal of your mind. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect” (Romans 12:2). Those lessons have been swirling around in my head and convicting me that I still have some room (a lot of room) for improvement in my thinking. Just when I believe I may have advanced to a higher spiritual level, God speaks to me and reminds me that my judgment of others is not pleasing to Him; hence, the reemergence of the bracelet from the back of my jewelry drawer and the
recesses of my consciousness to a prominent place around my wrist.
How is God speaking to you about your behavior? What steps are you willing to take to transform your thinking into that which is good and pleasing to God? Are you serious enough about your commitment to change that you would wear a bright green bracelet with New
Mind emblazoned on it in brilliant gold lettering?
