Good Morning Dear One,
It is not a fantastic day. We didn’t win the lottery. It is not an exciting day. We didn’t go to Disney. Nor a special day. Not a birthday or anniversary in sight. In fact, it is just an ordinary day.
I was texting with a good friend this morning. We have been through some rugged times together and after sharing for a bit, we both decided, “It is a boring day and boring is good.”
I once read a quote on the side of a computer at the registration desk at a hospital. It read, “Make each day a good day even if it’s a sad day.” Friends, the Lord made this day. If you’re reading this, you woke this morning with an entire day in which to rejoice. In fact, you have 86.400 seconds in which to rejoice. Don’t waste a moment. That doesn’t mean you have to do every task at warp speed. You don’t need to be stressed, and if you are blessed, you will have another day tomorrow. Enjoy this moment. Relax. Smile. Read. Take a nap. Do a crossword puzzle. You choose. Life isn’t boring if you are living each moment. Some say, “Stop and smell the roses.” That’s not boring; that’s appreciating God’s amazing creation. And if you gaze at that flower long enough to really see it, take in its beautiful creative design and enjoy the array of colors, that’s not boring. That’s living to the fullest. You are too blessed to be stressed. It is truly a blessing to be bored. To have time to savor and enjoy each quiet moment. Now that is the kind of day I can rejoice and be glad in. Linda
