Thank the Lord for all the glorious things He does; proclaim them to the nations. Sing His praises and tell everyone about His miracles.
Psalm 105: 1-2 Hello Friend,
Did you wake up grumpy this morning? Sometimes after a fun weekend, the reality of work sets in and our attitude is often sour. We go about our daily routine and grumble and groan about our jobs, family, children, and our failure to win the lottery and free us from all this drudgery. We murmur and complain.
How long has it been since you have taken time to meditate upon all the glorious things the Lord has done for you? Do you sing His praises only once a year at Thanksgiving?
Truly, what are you thankful for? Could you be grateful for eyes that can see to read this message? As my eyesight has deteriorated with advancing years, I am grateful for large print. I looked up “lifted up thine eyes”in my concordance. Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Rebekah, Joshua, David, and others, in times of trouble, lifted up their eyes. What are you peering at—your mound of dirty dishes? Your stack of unpaid bills? The traffic? Or, are you seeing the world with eyes of wonderment? Could you stop right now and make a list of your blessings? Then, could you share that list with others? Would your fellow believers marvel at your great change of attitude? Maybe there is an unbeliever who longs to hear the Good News? Share your good fortune. Get a new attitude: an attitude of gratitude.
Affirmation: I now choose to make my life light, easy, and joyful. I will lift up my eyes and see the world through God-colored glasses.
Thanking God for his bountiful gifts,
Linda
