Hello Friend,
Most of you will not remember these lyrics from an old, old song sung by Rosemary Clooney, “I wish you shelter from a storm; a cozy fire to keep you warm; but most of all, when snowflakes fall, I wish you love.” There most likely won’t be snowflakes in Florida, but there will be someplace up north at Christmas that has snowflakes, and when they fall, I wish you love.
What more wonderful miracle could I wish for you than a heart and home filled with love? I say “miracle” because for some of us, having our family together without a fistfight or hurtful words flying through the air would take a miracle. Or perhaps you live alone, and what a miracle it would be for you to be invited to join with friends for Christmas dinner. Perhaps you’re divorced and the kids are with dad for the holiday and you’re lonely. A miracle would be a phone call from the kids or a distant relative saying, “I was just thinking of you and wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas.”
Friends, you and I can have our own Miracle Network. Let’s allow God to use us in a mighty way to spread His love to His hurting children. Let’s not just “wish” for love to happen in the lives of others, let’s make it happen. Be a Christmas miracle; open your heart and share God’s love.
Loving you, Linda
