and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous--
Psalm 139: 13-14
Good morning, sweet soul,
Just some thoughts to consider. It seems our nation is divided in so many hurtful and destructive ways. Then there are those who proclaim we are all children of God. In the middle of these truths are hurting people. I earnestly seek to love my neighbor; however, I can never really understand my neighbor. We are completely different in so many ways. I can never understand the black experience because I was born white. I don’t understand the feeling of being gay. I don’t know what it feels like to be a teenager in this culture. My childhood was most likely very different from yours. We’re born into different cultures, economic status, with varying strengths and weaknesses. So how can we achieve unity? Instead of pre-judging: Listen. All life is precious in God’s sight. Allow others to live as they deem necessary to survive or even thrive. Bless them on their journey. Walk with them. And love them as one knit together with God’s own hand. Linda
