This is my prayer: “Teach me, Lord. I sit at your feet and listen. And lead me along the right path.” I ask, “Lord, what do you mean by the right path? Is there a right path for us all? Or, is there a right path for me and an equally right path for anothe.?"
Some Christians are so sure that their pathis the right way for us all--their beliefsare the correct dogmas--their churchhas the correct doctrine. Is that okay with you Lord? That they are so sure seems like such a good thing. I am truly grateful that they have found their path. But must it be mine?
Sometimes, while writing, I am quite aware that my spiritual experiences and beliefs may be, in some instances, quite different from yours, and I meditate upon what is appropriate to share. I want to connect with my friends online; however, I am on my path and I must be faithful to my calling. For over forty years, I have been sharing the message that Jesus urged me to share, “Tell them I love them.” And so I will continue to do that! I believe that Jesus loves us all—regardless of the path—if that path is leading us to Him. We may differ on our worship practices, but we can all agree on love as our guiding principle. I wish you well on your journey. I bless your path. I honor your faithfulness.
Prayer: Father, we seek you. Continue to lead us and guide us on our journey. Though we
tread different pathways, let us love and support each other.
